What does Committed Data Rate (CDR) mean?
Your Committed Data Rate (CDR) is your contracted transit allowance. This is the minimum amount of bandwidth you’re guaranteed to receive, so generally functions as your average throughput level.
We recommend that this is set to your monthly average throughput level.
You can burst above your CDR, to your full port speed, thanks to the 95th percentile billing model utilised on-net with us.
You can increase your commit over time, should you need to uplift your CDR as your average usage levels grow. Feel free to contact us if you are receiving regular overages, and wish to elevate your CDR to a suitable level.
