Do you have any rules around suitable hardware for deployment?

We don’t enforce hard-set rules on what equipment can or cannot be deployed in our data centres, however we do have the following general pointers to ensure maximum long term success:

• Equipment should be rack mountable
• Equipment should be enterprise-grade, not designed for use at home or in the office
• Equipment should be in a safe, stable operating condition
• Equipment should have the correct airflow configuration, depending on where it will be mounted in the rack
• Equipment shouldn’t be modified or otherwise tampered with in a way that may present safety concerns

Provided these pointers are met, then you’re well-set for success with your deployment.
